Call to Order & Introductions (Karen & Starr) - 6:03

District Administration to Discuss Prop 3
- Focus on our future

- School districts have 2 options for paying for capital
Bonds (debt), usually 20 year pay off, lots of interest
Using a bond to buy Chromebooks - pay off over 20 years, but needed new technology in 5 years.

Capital project levy (incoming stream revenue)
Maintain maintenance, have annual budget, know what we have
“Pay as you go”
Dedicated fund for maintenance
Improving technology

- Rockwood has previously used bonds (interest, needs approval)

- 54 cents from existing tax money moves from debt service / collect as Capital Levy

- We can still pay down debt - the district has been planning for this since 2014, and have made changes to make this possible

- PTO pay for cinnamon rolls next year to speed up process - will add into budget 

- Pie in the face was great

- The Eureka day float won first place!

Mrs. Slattery: Speech to Print (linguistic phonics), $347
Online course, helps reading, for 1st grade, also wants to help with 3rd-5th graders

Boosterthon update (Ashleigh)
- $23,202 profit

- Cooperate matches pending

- Registration 66% of school (on par with other new schools)
56% of the school had donations coming in
Majority of givers were grandparents

- Next year:
Better communication, some families will know about it
Shared service vs getting the full package again 
Reserved for Sept 3-11, Oct 15-23

- Side note:
We have $5,000 for capital improvements in the budget - putting toward digital marquee
Around $30,000 per maintenance
Made 8K over
Money raised will help Geggie get digital marquee

Sponsorships (Ashleigh)
- For the entire school year, levels of sponsorships (more donations = more advertisement)
We wanted $3,000 in sponsors, so far we are at $3,300
“Thank you to our sponsors” poster for the building?
We have 10 business sponsors so far

- Candy monsters are ready for donations
