- Issue with membership toolkit reconciliation. On the phone with support staff
- 4 outstanding checks from 2024- discussed re-issuing
- Karen/ Starr reaching out to teachers for unused funds.
- Mini Grants
Jess Jennings: Brain flakes, liquid chalk markers, fidgets, games, office supplies,etc. Bought by Deborah. $207.47
Lisa G. makes a motion to approve. Elyse P seconds motion. All approved- Grant funding approved.
Approve March Minutes
- Lindsey G. votes to approve. Elyse P. seconds. All approved.
Trivia Night 2025 (Karen)
- Brookdale gave the February 21st date away. Need to reschedule, offered a discount.
Three new dates suggested.
February 7th voted on via text, 6 Executive board members voted YES for the majority. Approved
Geggie’s Got Talent Review (Starr)
- Success! Kids enjoyed the event! ran smoothly- GREAT JOB STARR!
- For next year: Soundboard, microphones, 2 spotlights, volunteers to organize kids in Art room, deadline for music
Geggie’s 60th Celebration - April 26
- Committees met last week. People that stepped back during Rockwood teacher negotiations are back now.
Suggested to reach out to Leader (Elyse) and Eureka peeps to make an article about the 60th.
- Student council meeting on the 17th and want to make an aerial photo of the kids making a “60”
- Raffle- volleyball camp registrations.
Do the auction through Auctria and set-up QR code at the tables
- Foam Goes Bananas- $400 for one hour and $550 for 90 minutes.
Suggested to start at 8:45 or 9
Majority in favor for an hour (8:45-9:45)
Conference meals review (Christine)
- No issues
Taste of the World April 10 Eureka Elementary
- Elyse/Dawn to make a signup genius for volunteers.
Set-up at 5pm for decorations (Sarah)
Blevins PTO to make the passports
Chris is making customs stamps
- Starts at 6pm- Flag parade, giant world map, photo booth, and Henna tattoos by High School volunteers
7:15 second performance, event to end at 7:45
Staff Appreciation Week May 5-9 (Christine)
- Carnival theme: working on food and snacks
Using the cheese machine from the PTO closet!
Additional Items
- SSD staff asking to cover $101 for five special olympics shirts
Only $5 left in staff support
Does she need to apply for a mini grant? Still have $747.25
Denied StuCo shirts last year.
Options- Full pay, partial, no pay
- Boosterthon
PTO today does support a walk-a-thon fundraiser event on their website platform
Discuss if we want to to do unsupported with the old platform
Ask for a draft contract to review and set-up a meeting.
What to do instead of trinkets? Maybe shirts for all the kids? Color run? Fun run sponsors? Special days
- 5th Grade LSMS Lock-In
President of Lasalle PTO says not very many students signed up and sign-ups close on April 10th.
Dan will send out an email blast.
-Need to schedule a budget meeting
2025-2026 Executive Board
- It is time to start thinking about next year’s board.
Some of our 2 year terms are up, and a few are leaving the board completely.
Starr, Sam, Christine up for a 2 year term. President, VP, Co-secretary, Communications are opening up
Karen and Chris to stay for treasurer
Volunteer Status and Intent to Volunteer Form
ParentSquare sent out a notification that PTO members and parents in general need to fill out an “Intent to Volunteer Form” every year.
Please remember that if you are volunteering one on one in a classroom or taking groups on a field trip, you are required to get fingerprinted only once and you are good!
Important Upcoming Dates (Lindsey)
- President’s Forum Wednesday April 9, at noon. To be held at Crestview Middle School
Lunch with the superintendent- Chris, Christine, Sarah. Sign-up on parent square.
- Next PTO meeting on Wednesday, May 21, at 6 p.m. in the Geggie Library
Meeting where we vote on the board for next year and the sign-up genius for volunteers to be sent out and vote for the budget. Important for all executives to be there.
