- Liability insurance needs to be informed for events off school property and what is involved in those events (PE classes, after school PTO events)

- Financials (July 2025)
Money Market account balance as of 8/31/25: $25,035.76 (made $7.57 in interest)
Checking account balance as of 8/31/25: $9,718.22

- Mini Grants
Mrs Conway purchased classroom community organization to create a safe and positive space for students. Requested $132.
Bulletin board supplies
Karen approves, Kati second, all in favor – motion passes

Mrs Benoist would like to purchase classroom games for indoor recess and free time. Requested $117.49. She has also requested purchasing hermit crabs for classroom pets. She has some supplies already so she is requesting $35.

Ms Smith purchased 12 Mark Twain award nominee books for 5th grade ELA classes and all 5th are welcome to use. Requested $134.91

Parents as Teachers (Stephanie)
- Prenatal – Kindergarten program
- Offers home visits to partner with parents, developmental and health screenings, group connections, community resources

Tiger Fun Run (Lisa/Emily)
- 9/8 registration opens; 9/15 Kick off assembly; 9/19 Event Day
$30,000 goal – reward is principals sleepover on the roof|
School wide giveaway prizes – Fun Run themed vinyl stickers, silicone bracelets, keychains
Promote via Tiger Talk, bulletin board, yard signs at Geggie, before/after school hype volunteers, flyers, Parent square newsletters, Fun Run event on Facebook, teacher emails
Each grade will participate during specials time

$4,100 total funds from sponsorships so far
Expecting at least 2-3 more coming
Following up with other previous sponsors

Spirtwear (Elyse)
- Took away some items that did not sell well last year
- 2 new designs coming – Tiger Strong, In My Geggie Era, Geggie Pride
- PTO shirts – each member/PTO volunteer can purchase individually if they choose

Share Events (Elyse)
- CITY2 Soccer Game Fundraiser - September 28th
28 tickets sold so far; 4 kids signed up for PA announcer raffle

Vision and Screening Volunteers (Starr/Sam)
- 9/25: 9 AM - 3 PM and 10/20:  9AM - 3 PM
Reach out to volunteers who signed up in the spring

Kindergarten Special Person’s Day on Sept. 12 (Maggie)
- Coffee is ordered; 60-80 Bagels donated (pick up sept 11); PTO buy cream cheese
Geggie ordering 150 cinnamon rolls and ordering juice
PTO reimburse whatever is leftover from the $250 budget after paying for coffee and cream cheese

Eureka Days Parade (Sarah)
- Theme medieval knights
Blow up dragon
“Geggie uKNIGHTed”, “Ride with Geggie pride” (make horses)
Cardboard or paper shields for students to decorate

Trunk or Treat (Kati/Starr)
- Ordered handouts
Playground lighting – DIY pool noodle candles to tie to playground
Get a finger flashlight to do the
Stickers, tattoo, bouncy balls, bookmarks, sticky hands, glow sticks
Ring toss (witch hats or candy corn)

- 4 parents and 1 staff trunk so far
First 10 trunks to sign up get 100 pieces of candy from PTO

- Pull out “Feed Frankie” monster after Fun Run for candy donations

Misc. Business (Christine/Kati)
- JA Biztown
$1,440 last year, increased to $2,500
Budget $2000
Permission slip already went out without request for $5 from each student
Take from carry over money from last year to BizTown
Increase of budget to $2,500 for BizTown to be discussed at budget meeting

- CostCo membership
Leave current card holders, change in the future if needed

- PTO Presidents’ Forum Conference - 9/10 from 5-7 p.m. at Rockwood Summit HS
