• Mini Grants
  • Mrs. Hull - 4th grade board games for indoor recess, requesting est. $150
  • Karen McBride approves, Starr Carroll second, all in favor, motion passes

Approval of December Agenda (Christine/Kati)

• Karen McBride first, Chris Alexander second, all in favor, minutes approved

Trivia Night (Kati/Chris)

• Silent Auction/Experience Auction 
• 16 tables sold (last year 20 sold), 3 VIP (8 available)
• No individual tickets sold yet
• Silent auction - donations coming in from businesses, still following up with more, grade level baskets are signing up

Geggie's Got Talent (Courtney)

• February 26th
• 5th grade registration open, 1 registered so far 
• 3rd and 4th opens next Monday 

PTO Website (Elyse)

• Updates, directory, tipping, sign up issues
• Problems with volunteer sign ups and emails are getting fixed
• Enhancements coming to directory
• Checkout when purchasing trivia tables defaults an added “tip”, wording is confusing causing some to think that money comes to our PTO. The “tip” money goes to the platform, wording can not be removed or changed. A blurb has been added to help parents know this money does not come to the PTO. 
• Karen will talk to Kate with president’s forum for clarification. 

Taste of the World (Maggie)

• April 16th
• Committee meeting Jan 14th at Eureka Elementary

Misc. Business (Christine/Kati)

• Copier program
  • Group of parents who come help make copies for teachers
  • Will reach out to PTO volunteers
  • Alison Fanger is the contact person
• Got your backpack - Rockwood organization that sends backpacks home with students for food and security
  • Pick ups weekly from Fairway on Wednesday or Thursday afternoon 
  • Deliver Thursday afternoon or before end of school day Friday
  • Volunteers needed to go to Fairway to take to Geggie, Blevins, Eureka, LaSalle, and EHS.
  • Sign up sheet for weekly volunteers
  • Jodie Carlson is the contact person - cac.jac@mac.com
• Email all PTO volunteers and board members with these 2 volunteer opportunities 
• Parkway Rockwood Community Ed
  • Can help FUNdraise, they bring supplies
  • Bonfire night, Lego night, etc  
  • Printshop - Notepads, posters
  • Might be pricy 
  • Some services are free - help provide warmers, coolers, etc for free 
  • They will a share list
• Recap: Holiday Shop, December & January President’s Forum
• Holiday shop 
  • Kids love it
  • Hour blocks for grade levels went well
  • Penguin Patch - the company used this year did not send second day shipment (no products for second day), we were then sent an abundance of product
  • All product was better quality than last year
  • Company sent low quality items at high cost, after complaining they allowed us to lower prices and they sent us better products - kids who shopped after day 1 had better product at better prices 
  • Possibility of running the shop ourselves next year?
• President’s Forum 
  • Inclusion and diversity - be mindful of religious observations of all cultures when planning events, translation of documents and send outs 
  • PTO Presidents’ Forum - Wednesday, 2/11 from 9:30 a.m - 11:30 a.m. 
  • At Ellisville Elementary, topic is about talking to and engaging parents/families of different generations and cultures
  • Christine and Karen will attend 
  • Next Meeting: Wednesday, 2/4 from 6 p.m. - 7 p.m.
